I love the theme and overall style of this game. It's a bit heavy, but I think it's really interesting. It took the better part of two years before I actually beat it. [[2024 - July 27 - Saturday]]: I finally won my first game of this today! I was playing against Azathoth, and was using Zoey and Mandy as my two investigators. I think I'd like to play again, but against a different ancient one (finally) as I've only ever played against Azathoth so far. I've also never tried any of the sideboards that are included with some of the big box expansions. [[2024 - July 30 - Tuesday]]: I started another game a few days ago, this time against Shudde M'ell, and it is not going well. I didn't read the entirety of one of the cards, and took a *Promise of Power*, but the trade-off was that every named city had to have gate opened up on it… That's basically game over. I don't think I even managed to close a gate until like the fifth round. Having more than two investigators would help a lot in cases like that, though.
