# Ouija ## Thoughts I thought this was an okay movie, if a bit uninspired. The characters are the classic type horror movie decision-makers, so there isn't much depth to them, nor do they choose to do things in the general vein of self-preservation. I'm still not sure I fully understand which ghost was influencing various things throughout the movie, but maybe there's not that much to it. I didn't expect to see [[Lin Shaye]] in this one. My initial thought was that she must be getting type-casted or something based on her roles in similar movies, namely [[Insidious]], but her filmography is pretty extensive, actually. Speaking of *Insidious*, I feel like that movie is significantly better and explores similar themes.
