# The Conjuring ## Thoughts As far as horror movies go, *The Conjuring* is really solid! I really like the scares and the general vibe of the film. The scene with the bedsheet stopping in midair was really good, and the part where the mother is stuck in the basement was particularly spooky. They did a great job taking a simple concept like the game "Hide and Clap," and turning it into some really tense situations for the audience. Also, I didn't expect to see [[Ron Livingston]] in this one, so that's a fun surprise.
