# The Frighteners ## Thoughts I'm happy that this this movie holds up pretty well. Some of the CGI effects are rough, but that doesn't take away much from the rest of it. The characters are fun, and the atmosphere and music by [[Danny Elfman]] are an interesting blend between dark and comedic. I felt like there could have been some refinements to the comedic writing as a lot of the jokes were a bit flat to me. > *The wicked will be punished!* > *The dog's running away with my face! Hell, I'm fallin' apart!* > *Death's no way to make a living!*
