# The Goonies ## Thoughts This is easily one of my all-time favorite movies! I used to watch this film a lot as a kid, and it holds up great today. There are so many excellent characters, too. For such a large central cast, they all have a lot of personality and get quite a bit of screen time. When I think about movies or TV shows that have a group of kids going on some kind of quest or trying to solve a big problem (e.g. [[Stranger Things]]), *The Goonies* comes to mind immediately. >*Hey you guys~!* >*There's a funny farm with your name written all over it, but I'm gettin' outta here! I— I smell ice cream!* >*Ruth! Ruth! Baby! Ruth!* >*Michael Jackson didn't come over to my house to use the bathroom…but his sister did!*
