# The Shining ## Thoughts *The Shining* deviates from the source material of the book ([[Starcat Games/Wiki/Literature/Books/The Shining|The Shining]]), but is great partly as an adaptation, but especially as a an interpretation on its own. The tense atmosphere is really intriguing throughout the film.
