# Neutron Star ## Overview Neutron stars are the collapsed remains of stars that have experienced a [[Supernova|supernova]]. The stellar matter that isn't scattered into space collapses back into itself due to gravity and becomes an extremely dense object only surpassed by a [[Black Hole|black hole]]. While [[White Dwarf|white dwarf]] stars are similar, they are less dense than neutron stars. #astrophysics #space
