## Thoughts This is an excellent game and deserves all of the praise that it gets. It's easily a gold standard for [[Metroidvania]] games. One thing I will say is that I feel like the story is maybe just a touch overwritten. Maybe it's because I was getting a little impatient towards the end — I haven't even finished it — where there seems to more and more and more stuff to do. One would think that would be a good thing, but I feel like it's just a bit much. Were it me, I would have had the main story line be a little tighter and shorter, but have had all of the rest of it available as side content. You could also argue that it's that way already, but realistically you'll need a lot of the abilities, "geo", upgrades, and information that you find outside of the main path to be able to finish the game. If you're a seasoned player or a speed-runner, then it's a different story altogether. ## Entries [[2025 - September 23 - Tuesday]]: I think I might just table this game for now. The ending that I would like to get requires a lot more work, and I don't think I'm going to enjoy what I'd have to put into it. [[2025 - September 20 - Saturday]]: I'm beaten ⅔ of the Dreamers, and I just need to beat the Watcher Knight — easier said than done — before I take care of the last one. I'm not sure how much is left after that, but I'm thinking I have to be pretty close to the end of the main story by now. [[2025 - September 9 - Tuesday]]: According to the PSN app, the last time I played this was in September-October of 2022! I'm surprised it has been three years already at this point. I just started playing it again since [[Hollow Knight - Silksong|Silksong]] just came out, and I would like to check that out at some point. I don't want to start that one until I've at least finished the main story of this one, though. Last time I played it, I got pretty far, but I think there was a fair bit left to do.
