# Mario Party 3 ## Thoughts Of the whole [[Mario Party Series]], I think this entry is the one I've played the most, perhaps only surpassed later by [[Mario Party 8]]. This was a popular game during family get-togethers back in the [[N64]] era, so it got a lot of use between my siblings, cousins, and I. Another one that was played a lot in such gatherings would, of course, be [[Mario Kart 64]]. Compared to [[Mario Party 2]], which introduced items into the mix, this game refined the items mechanic quite a bit. One major change was that you could carry up to three items at a time instead of just one. That's about the extent of my knowledge on the second game, though, as I never had it growing up.
