# Mario Party 3 ## Thoughts Of the whole [[Mario Party Series]], I think this entry is the one I've played the most, perhaps only surpassed later by [[Mario Party 8]]. This was a popular game during family get-togethers back in the [[N64]] era, so it got a lot of use between my siblings, cousins, and I. Another one that was played a lot in such gatherings would, of course, be [[Mario Kart 64]]. Compared to [[Mario Party 2]], which introduced items into the mix, this game refined that mechanic quite a bit. One major change was that you could carry up to three items at a time instead of just one. ## Progress **Story Mode:** *Incomplete* --- [[2026 - July 1 - Wednesday]]: My partner and I played a 20-round game on Woody Woods! These older titles are a breath of fresh air from the absolutely glacial ones like [[Super Mario Party Jamboree TV]]. --- [[2026 - June 29 - Monday]]: This game got some playtime in this last weekend when family was visiting — it was super fun! I think these older titles hold up really well.
