# Mario Party 6 ## Thoughts I still think the earlier games are more fun than once you start getting into this era of the [[Mario Party Series]], but *Mario Party 6* is still pretty decent. I think that the day/night cycle mechanic is fun, but could have been utilized a lot more. The boards seem fine but not amazing, either. The only strong criticism I have is that the [[GameCube Microphone]] mini-games are very weak and gimmicky. Since the microphone came with the game, I can't really fault it that much, but it honestly brings the game down just by being included in the mini-game rotation. You can, however, disable the microphone games. ## Progress [[2026 - July 1 - Wednesday]]: My partner, sister, cousin, and I played this for the first time in forever last weekend! It was fun to dust this one off.
