# Paper Mario - The Thousand-Year Door (Remake)
## Thoughts
I really feel like the original [[Paper Mario - The Thousand-Year Door]] just plays better. This remake looks nice most of the time, but it just feels slower and less pleasant to play overall to me.
The visuals are nice and clean, but I also feel like they went too far with it. The fact that it runs at 30FPS is a major step back. Combined with the dog-slow UI, it really tests my patience at times.
Aside from all of that, the music is really nice, though!
## Progress
**Main Story:** *Incomplete*

The last time I played this, which was probably almost two years ago — crazy how time flies — I got to the X-Nauts' secret moon base, but didn't actually finish the game.

I've been playing this off and on since it came out. Overall, I'd say it's a solid remake. The revamped music is fantastic! While visually it looks great, I don't care much for the shiny surfaces that most of the ground seems to have.
