# Resident Evil Requiem
## Thoughts
> [!warning]
> *Spoilers ahead!*
While I can't say that it's a better game than either of the remakes of Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 4, I think that Requiem does it's own thing pretty darn well. Like I wrote in one of the progress entries, it takes elements from RE2R, RE4R, and [[Resident Evil 7]]/[[Resident Evil Village]]. I don't think it has the best from those games, but I really enjoyed it. The story was interesting — I thought Victor Gideon was an interesting antagonist — so I was intrigued the whole time.
I managed to get the terrible ending the first time around, which is a very depressing one, by the way, but the game lets you jump right back to where you can pick the other option and get the real ending. I'm still a little confused about the BSAA and how they fit into everything — they were looking a little nefarious at the end of *Village*.
## Progress

Mission accomplished! I really enjoyed this Resident Evil title overall. I think it has a little bit of what makes both [[Resident Evil 2 Remake]] and [[Resident Evil 4 Remake]] really good. I'm not sure if the various parts on their own are as good as those RE entries, but they work really well together in one package.

I've gotten a bit further now — I'm playing as Grace down in the tunnels under the clinic/research facility. I'm having a great time with Requiem so far! I'm curious how replayable it will end up feeling once I get through it the first time around.
[[2026 - March 17 - Tuesday]]:
So far, I've gotten through both of introductory sections for Grace and Leon. I just got to the part where you get control of Grace again — it's cool so far!
