# The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker ## Thoughts I haven't played the original [[GameCube]] release of *Wind Waker* for a long time. Unfortunately, my childhood copy of it was a casualty of my selloff of many games back when I was in college… That said, I really like this game! The cel shaded art style has aged very well compared to most games of its era. [[The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker HD]] looks excellent as a result as well in its higher resolution presentation. Compared to [[The Legend of Zelda - The Phantom Hourglass]], this game's ocean overworld is vastly more fun to traverse and explore, even if it gets to be a bit tedious at times. The HD version's golden sail makes this a much smaller issue, though. I'd love to play this game again sometime on the original hardware, but I have to imagine that used prices are absurd these days for something like *Wind Waker*. > I checked on this, and used prices are between $70 and $100 for a complete-in-box copy of *Wind Waker*, so not awful I suppose, but not great either. ## Progress **Main Story:** Completed
