Generally speaking, I really liked this graphic novel! I thought the characters were interesting and the plot was engaging. I just wish that had wrapped by about the 50% mark of the 3rd compendium; it had overstayed its welcome for me by then, especially with the unnecessary time-skip and unfortunate changes in art style.

2026 - September 22 - Tuesday:
According to my Kindle Paperwhite stats during lunch today, I’m at 64% in the third compendium. To be honest, I was enjoying it a lot more before the time-skip subplot — the serious downgrade in illustration quality afterwards doesn’t help either. In any case, I’ve been blasting through these volumes really quickly, so I hope that that the story picks up again as it reaches a conclusion.
