This is — surprisingly to me — a Wes Craven movie. My mom, partner, and I watched this during one evening while we were visiting, and I didn’t like it very much, although it had some fun moments. I actually liked the scene with the class presentation on the California Condor quite a bit, but the rest of the movie had some really odd pacing and tone at times.

For a movie with a $25MM to work with, it felt very low-budget, but I don’t think that was the intent in this case, though.
